Qualifications

Director, Business Development

Outbrain is currently hiring a Director of Business Development for its NYC location.

Outbrain is seeking a motivated business development director to expand the distribution of our content recommendation platform to additional publisher and media sites. Outbrain currently powers content recommendations on premium sites like USA Today, Tribune, Slate, Newsweek, iVillage and more, along with tens of thousands of blogs. The director will be expected to generate direct revenue by selling traffic acquisition programs to key publishers, blogs and partner accounts.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
  • Excellent in-person presentation skills
  • Background in relationship building and contract negotiations
  • Ability to independently build a large pipeline of outbound leads, pursue and close

Technical Account Manager

Outbrain is currently seeking a Technical Account Manager for its NYC location.
Outbrain is hiring a Technical Account Manager ready to play a key role in expanding our business. The Technical Account Manager will optimize implementations and deployments, and oversee the technical aspects of all our products. You will work with both internal and external parties to ensure that technical issues are handled quickly and appropriately.

The Technical Account Manager will form a close partnership with our Account Managers, Product Management, Engineering and Sales Teams and will actively contribute to the ongoing success of our products. Responsibilities

  • Facilitate integration process by providing technical assistance both to Account Managers and to clients (first-time and repeat alike)

  • Perform ongoing QA of publisher sites to ensure quality of recommendations and module UI

Minimum Qualifications

Director, Business Development/Hispanic Markets

Outbrain is seeking a highly motivated, passionate and organized business development director to expand the distribution of our content recommendation platform to additional publisher and media sites throughout the US Hispanic and Latin American marketplace. Outbrain currently powers content recommendations on premium sites like USATODAY, Tribune, Slate, Newsweek, iVillage and more, along with tens of thousands of blogs. The director will be expected to form similar partnerships to extend our distribution footprint in Hispanic markets.

For this position we are looking for a strong deal-oriented professional who can identify, source and structure partnerships independently to further the company’s strategic initiatives. Experience working with the digital departments of large publishers such as newspapers, magazines, media companies or large blog networks is a plus, as is previous experience selling to audience development and/or marketing teams at online publishers. Candidate must be Bi-Lingual Spanish/English. International travel required.

Responsibilities

Sales Planner, New York

Outbrain is seeking an experienced Sales Planner to work with the Publisher Sales and Brand/Agency Sales groups to identify potential prospects and assist with the presales process. Outbrain currently powers content recommendations on premium sites like USATODAY, Tribune, Slate, Newsweek, iVillage and more, along with tens of thousands of blogs. The Sales Planner will be expected to identify as-yet unidentified publishers and brands to assist our Business Development group to form similar partnerships.

The ideal candidate will be extremely organized and have a passion for digital publishing. The sales planner will conduct thorough research on the publisher landscape and identify prospects who could both benefit from and financially afford a traffic acquisition campaign. Work with brands and agencies will be similar. The deliverable will include a daily prospect list that includes contact information for the appropriate stakeholder(s), along with reasoning behind the inclusion of each prospect on the list.

The Sales Planner will keep abreast of digital publishing trends and understand the potential competitive threats to Outbrain’s products (e.g. competitors, substitute products, etc). Finally, the sales planner will follow up internally with each business development person to learn the outcome of each prospect and the reasons why a deal was or was not reached.
