Sorry, but we are growing!!!

We are growing fast and our hardware space becomes a bit crowded.
We are doubling the space we have and doing the move this week.

The move itself is planned for Saturday (Aug 2nd) night EST.
We are planning to do it with no service downtime just a short time of Read Only mode.
Our site might have been in a 'moving mode' for a couple of hours.

As we all know... Servers that are comfortable, serves better ;-)

UPDATE:

Our move to the new space was delayed and will happen on the night between the 4th and 5th of Aug.

It will require short outage of the service which should not harm the blogs in any way.

The outage will take about ~30 minutes and will take place sometime between 12-5am EST.

Silicon Alley Insider Job Board Delivers

Thanks to Julie Hansen and Henry Blodget over at Silicon Alley Insider for helping us fill our New York based Account Manager position quickly.  While in a meeting with Julie our open position came up and she suggested that I post the job on SAI's job board.  Honestly I didn't know what to expect but I took Julie's advice and posted the job on SAI with the intention of posting the job on other blogs and sites.  But to my pleasant surprise, I didn't need to post elsewhere as the resumes started coming in immediately.  Many were qualified and further had experience or relevance in the business of blogging.  If you have positions coming open, I do recommend posting on SAI and some of the other NY tech blogs as they definitely have the right audience.  Next up for Outbrain will be (2) business development positions - look for the details on SAI's job board or shoot me an email @ john (at) outbrain (dot) com if interested to learn more.

Expected downtime for maintenance

Hey bloggers and publishers.
On July 11, 2008, between 12am and 1am EDT our Data Center facility is planning to preform a pre scheduled maintenance and upgrade one of the network devices.
There might be some network glitches to our servers during this hour.
Our Graceful Degradation mechanism should take care of such glitches so no harm is expected to your blogs.

If you encounter any unexpected problems please contact us on our support forum and we will come to the rescue.
